I’ve been married & divorced, married again & widowed and almost married & widowed again, I say “almost” because the last time the widowing stage came before the marrying stage. But this Granny stays undaunted in her search for companionship & love.

I grew up in the 1950’s and Doris Day movies defined my dreams, this was the “happily-ever-after” era, the one where one man & one woman road off into the sunset to live out their lives with each other. Unlike the Hollywood fantasies of our time, life has a way of interfering in those dreams. But, somehow, deeply embedded in my soul, a little bit of that dream lives on and my search continues. . . . . . . .

How to meet an older guy? I am mostly retired but maintain a healthy interest in the world around me. I socialize regularly but the pool of available men just keeps shrinking. Friends suggest ways to meet: church, adult ed classes, the gym, single’s trips, etc . and I have tried those methods with mixed results. Since I spend a lot of time on my computer, senior internet dating seems like the perfect way for me to find my ideal man. This blog is the story of my online dating adventures plus some assorted ramblings on senior life and aging in general.

I am a real granny. I have 2 children, a daughter in Ohio & a son in CA. My oldest grandson is 22 and my youngest are twins boys age 4. Maintaining contact and a loving relationship with my family is important to me but does not consume my life. I would like to be the other side of a couple, I would like to have a life partner by my side, I would like to live, laugh & love again.
